If you know us, you know that legendary yacht designer L. Francis Herreshoff has always been a source of inspiration here at F.L. Woods. Equal parts yacht designer, artist, and craftsman, he was a rare combination of talent, ingenuity, and unmistakable style.
Known to many simply as "The Skipper," Herreshoff had a certain way about him. His everyday uniform was often nothing more than a well-worn chambray shirt and a sturdy pair of khakis. Simple, practical, and effortlessly handsome. Just the way we like it.
And so, in honor of The Skipper, we've put together two indigo shirts of our own. A lighter chambray for banging around the boatyard, and a darker wash for heading uptown. Both equally at home on the docks or out to dinner.
Cut from premium Italian cloth and thoughtfully tailored, these shirts bring together old-school craftsmanship, everyday utility, and a healthy dose of F.L. Woods character.
