Born and built in the USA with quality and craftsmanship at the forefront, this jacket is designed for decades of wear.
I love this jacket and it looks amazing on me. Smells great too! But I have to be honest, this jacket is almost unusable as a daily driver due to the lack of pockets. You cannot walk down the street with your hands in your jacket, since they are top-down on the very front of the jacket.
I hate to say it, as i'm a big advocate of this jacket and it makes me super happy, but there are very few occasions that I want to wear it. I wish they would have just put side pockets on it... and if so, I would wear this into the cold winter with mid layers. But I can't stomach it when I can wear a puffy jacket with fleece pockets to keep my hands warm.
Since it's a parka mid thigh length, you can't easily put your hands in your jeans/pants either, see the stock photo and you'll see what I mean.
Beyond that, yes more pocket-commentary, but there's no inner drop pocket for gloves or a hat. I get it's timeless design, but I just can't figure out when to wear it.
I hope the team sees this and improves the design.
I am a frequent FL Woods customer and looked at this coat casually for a few years. It looks sort of unimpressive on the hangar, but fits like a second skin when you put it on and oozes quality, so try one on!
I have been a longtime customer of Fl Woods and purchased this jacket when they first went on sale many years ago since moving to Sarasota I thought it was time to buy a new one and boy did I make the correct decision I am getting so many wonderful compliments miss you guys but purchasing online is my way of wearing your fabulous clothes
This is a very nice shell jacket. It is clearly made with lot# of care. I have found the front pockets to be a bit small, but other than that I am very pleased with it.
