A true Nantucket classic, this original 1993 FIGAWI Regatta hat carries the spirit of one of New England’s most legendary sailing weekends. Faded just right with time and salt air, it’s the kind of piece that feels earned—whether you were on the starting line or just chasing the stories at the bar after.
The FIGAWI Race Weekend dates back to 1972, when a group of sailors, stuck in the harbor and eager for competition, made a now-famous radio call: “Where the F*** Are We?”—and just like that, FIGAWI was born. What started as an impromptu dash from Nantucket to Hyannis Port has grown into a full-fledged regatta weekend, blending serious racing with equal parts camaraderie and celebration. To this day, it remains a rite of passage for East Coast sailors.
This hat is a nod to that legacy—sun-worn, story-filled, and unmistakably tied to the water.
